June Construction Upturn in Kern County Exceeds Last Year
Kern County Board of Trade reports June construction at 24,958,337, over 4 percent above June last year and up from May by 6.8 million. Additions to Kern Medical Center drive much of the rise, with residential building rebounding modestly. Six month totals show a sizable drop from last year but unincorporated areas and several towns post gains.
