Residents received 1947 Christmas Seals with letters from the Kern County Tuberculosis and Health Association Incorporated. The 41st annual sale runs through Christmas to fund case-finding for tuberculosis and heart disease, health education, and the 70 mm portable X-ray unit on a truck, designed by Raymond H. Lufkin.
