Health Department begins groundwater study in Kern County
Kern County Health Department has started a groundwater pollution study funded by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board. To wrap by December 30, 1979, it will map saline pollutant affects, identify sources, and draft a prevention plan under the 208 plan. Public input via hearings will aid development of best management practices and education on salt buildup. Contact Division of Environmental Health in Bakersfield for more details.
