FFA Officers Lead Start of Year With Camp and Awards
The new F F A officers held their first meeting on July 10 and attended a leadership camp at Fayette Ohio the weekend of July 13 with Albert Feld kamp Eugene Heusel and Luther Marion and advisor Alton Ealy. On July 22 the Saline chapter will receive an outstanding chapter program award at Kellogg Center East Lansing. A work session is planned for August 21 to build gates and racks for the Saline Fair. Don Renischler reports Mrs. Arthur Alber remains a patient at Saline hospital.

Approximately 100 Holstein-Friesian cattle from Wash tenaw Wayne and Monroe counties will be shown before Judge Wilbur Harris at the Rural Activities Center on Saline Ann Arbor Rd Tuesday July 23. Night show aims to boost participation with 6 p.m. start and open exhibitor entry for purebred breeders 4 H and FFA members. Winners advance to the state Holstein Black and White Show on Friday July 26. Meanwhile three local service members report overseas duty as others begin training in France and Istanbul.
