Red Cross Swim Classes Announced in Washtenaw County
The Washtenaw County Chapter announces Red Cross Learn-to-Swim and Lifesaving classes starting Wednesday April 5 for ten weeks. Adult classes run 9 to 10 pm at Ann Arbor Huron High. Lifesaving at Tappan Junior High at 7 30 pm. Fees include a $3 pool usage charge. register via Ann Arbor Anchor Recreation Dept at 665 8821.

Junior High Band Sees Mixed Rating at Harper Woods Festival
The Junior High Band received a second division rating at the District Band Festival in Harper Woods. Director Malcolm Danforth praised the musicians for their performance of a difficult piece while noting judges may have set higher standards this year. Both Concert and Sightreading scores were affected. Band blazers funded by students have not arrived, with the Spring Concert in May as the target wear date.
