Police logged a stolen 20 inch yellow and black bicycle from Mills Valley reported by owner Kelly McCormick. A two car rear end crash near Lewis and Michigan Ave injured no one seriously. Saline Hornets overpower Lincoln Consolidated in opener

Saline High track team dominated Lincoln Consolidated 83 to 40 led by Jeff Lewis in the mile and Dennis Martin in the two mile. Saline Hornets Open Season With Two Defeats In Baseball

Saline lost 6-1 to Willow Run in the opener as errors and lack of timely hitting doomed the Hornets. A 2-0 setback at Lincoln followed despite solid pitching by Al Miracle, with Saline managing only two hits. Little League Tryouts Set for Saturday at Henne Field

Tryouts for ages 8 to 12 take place Saturday April 15 at 9 30 a m at Henne Field. Unregistered boys can pick up a registration slip at The Reporter office and bring it to the tryouts. All eligible youths must attend. Senior Division for ages 13 to 15 is on April 29 at 9 30 a m at the High School Field. The Reporter follow up on achievement tests will run next issue instead of this week.
