Detroit Lions pulled off a 64 58 victory over Saline Booster All-Stars in a packed High School gym. Proceeds benefit Saline Area Athletic Booster Club with funds earmarked for a college scholarship and warm up jackets for teams.

Saline FFA Members Attend State Convention at East Lansing
Twelve Saline Future Farmers of America members and adviser Alton Ealy attended the State FFA Convention in East Lansing March 22 to 24. About 1,000 Michigan FFA students joined two days of sessions at Michigan State University with delegates David Feldkamp and Dennis Finkbeiner. The event conferred the State FFA Degree on 177 members. Saline recipients included Marvin Feldkamp Glen Finkbeiner and Terry Wood, with Wood earning a top degree and silver award. Kenneth Feldkamp earned a gold rating in livestock proficiency.

The Saline talent show drew standing ovations over two nights with a $2,255 gross and $1,755 net for the Band Parents treasury. Credits go to Janet Livingstone for piano, Dave Walter and wife Jean for musical leadership, and many volunteers who kept rehearsals and production running smoothly. The success spurs plans for another show.
