Monroe County Sheriff Carl Fritz died Sunday at his Carleton home after a heart attack. Born November 3, 1901 in Saline, he married Louise Gruber in 1928. Survived by wife, son William in Chicago, brother Clarence of Saline, sister Mrs. Arthur Alber of Saline-Milan Road. Funeral at Baker Funeral Home Carleton with Rev. G. C. Lauden. burial in Monroe Cemetery.
