Accident Kills William Braun at Weber and Dell Roads
William Braun of Saline died instantly in a collision Friday night when his pickup driven by Frederick Braun at 5725 Textile Road hit a car driven by Jacob M Haag Jr of Norvell Michigan at Weber and Dell Roads. Frederick Braun and others were treated at Saline General Hospital for injuries.

Collision at hillside intersection cited by drivers
Jacob Haag, driving the rear vehicle, said he came over the hill as the truck from the other road approached and he could not avoid the crash. Frederick Braun, driver of the other truck, told Ray Carleton he shifted gears near the intersection but did not see a car coming from the opposite road.

Saline area saw a record weekend of accidents with multiple crashes. Laura Sanders Eglensgoerfer and six children rolled a car on East Judd Road but were uninjured after refusal of aid. Joseph Perry suffered fractures and internal injuries after a 75 foot skid near Jordan and Macon Roads. Max Hammond and Luella Lambarth had a minor collision on East Henry Street. Edward Za bonick rear ended by Carl Hertler on Michigan Avenue left Hertler with facial injuries and two fractured ribs.
