Compass lesson and local notes from a county town
A geography class story ends with a boy’s joke about a patch in his pants. A distant war update says Jap and Russian forces clash with Japanese victories and few losses reported. Local items include Mrs. Gilbert leaving for Florida, a newborn daughter, farm rental changes, a fine for Henry Schneider, travelers Fred and Bert Gillen, and a fatal hotel fire in Marion Indiana. Ten years ago visitors from Toledo stopped by.
