Lincoln edged Flat Rock 52 to 44 at the Lincoln gym, moving within one win of the season mark. Jack Briggs led with 14 points, Chuck Lindstrom added 13, Bill Sparrow 8, while Leon Wilkins paced Flat Rock with 19. Lincoln reserves won 24 to 22 in the prelim.

Agriculture experts say proper stubble mulching reduces rainfall erosion by about 20 percent and anchors residue to shield soil. Overworking soil, too deep subsurface tillage and excess tillage raise erosion and compact soil. Benefits include higher soil moisture and organic matter with slightly better wheat yields, but weed growth and nitrate loss may rise.
