Wrigley's Supermarket Buys Gordon's 4-H Hog at Fair
Kirk Gordon, 16, received 60 cents a pound for his 225 pound hog from Wrigley Supermarkets during the three day 4-H Junior Livestock show at the State Fair Grounds in Detroit. The event drew about 400 young exhibitors with cattle sheep and hogs judged on Tuesday and auctioned Wednesday. Gordon could not exhibit due to mumps, but his hog was shown by his sister Mary Sue Gordon.

Saline High Lights The Senior Class met December 4 1957 deciding January 11 for the Winter Dance with theme Silver Bells. Colors Silver and Green and flower white orchid chosen. Senior trip to New York and Washington lasts seven days with an extra day added. Seniors photographed December 10 and manage refreshments at home games. Future Nurses toured State Hospital and chapel with positive reports.

Truck Burns Near Pleasant Lake Road On Arbor Road
A Saline fire crew responded to a burning Air Reduction Co. truck on Arbor Road near Pleasant Lake Road. Deputy Norman Taylor found the vehicle in distress while en route to work and aided the driver Henry R. Hall until firefighters arrived. Damages were about 200 dollars.
