Annual Easter Concert And Reception At Federated Church

Federated Church hosts an Easter concert Sunday April 14 at 8:00 p.m. open to the public followed by a reception for musicians. Mrs Hugh O Keyeling leads social arrangements with assistants including Mrs Lauren Wild and Mrs Hadward Fischer. Harold Brown directs the Junior Choir with Miss Patsy Johnson as pianist and Mrs Everett Collins as pianist in a duet. Adult Choir performs three anthem groups including Sing and Rejoice Who is He That Cometh and The Mighty Triumph arranged by Lorenz.

Community Service On Good Friday at Methodist Church

A Good Friday service will be held at the local Methodist Church at 1 30 p m with pastors from cooperating churches taking part. Rev Alvin Siemsen of St Pauls Evangelical and Reform Church will preach the sermon as the Methodist Choir provides special music.

Leon Schlosser Former Salinette Dies in Beaver Pa

Leon Schlosser 94, father of Mrs. Margaret Jordan of 114 West Michigan Avenue, died Tuesday April 2 in a Beaver Pennsylvania hospital while visiting his son and daughters. Born February 17, 1863 in Alsace Lorraine, he is survived by three sons Paul Cain and Lee, two daughters Mrs. Harry Waterman and Mrs. Perce Cain, all of Beaver, 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services and burial were held Friday in Beaver.

Palm Sunday observed at the Methodist Church with special music by the Junior Choir directed by Mrs. Robert Merchant and a message on the Triumphal Entrance into Jerusalem. Baptism will be administered to infants and children.

Six Injured in Two Fog Shrouded Wrecks on Saline Ann Arbor Road

Five drivers and two Wasi tenaw County sheriff's deputies were injured in two crashes on Saline Ann Arbor Road near Waters Road early Friday. Fog reduced visibility to about 15 feet as Deputy Eugene Kah and Deputy John Spalding, both treated for injuries, responded to a prior accident. A second collision occurred while wreckers removed the first, injuring Mario Scodeller and Duane Steiner.

Natural industrial corridor eyed for Detroit region

One of Michigan’s greatest natural industrial areas lies in a mile-wide zone from the Detroit River to Saline. The Belgan and Associates plan calls it the Detroit Huron River Area industrial corridor with a regional marine terminal yard, dock, and industrial park linked to the St Lawrence Seaway, spanning ten townships in Wayne Monroe and Washtenaw counties.

Easter Sunrise Pageant Planned By Church Youth

Federated Church youth prepare a Sunday rehearsal at 6:00 p.m. for an Easter pageant to be staged at the annual Union Sunrise Service on Easter morning at 6 30 a.m. in Federated Church. Delegations from St Pauls and the Methodist Church assist in the service. Mrs George Austin and Mrs Henry McKenzie supervise planning.

Pvt Carl Cobb Joins Ordnance Group on Okinawa

Pvt. Carl G. Cobb, son of Mr and Mrs Robert Cummins, recently arrived on Okinawa and serves as a mechanic in the U S Army Ordnance Group. He entered the Army in September 1956 and is a 1953 Rosiclare Community High School graduate.
