At the Washtenaw County Chapter annual meeting in Ann Arbor on March 26 Mrs Everett S Wolfin of Saline was elected to the board of directors. Funeral services for Mrs Vera Decker Curtiss 74 wife of Carl A. Curtiss president of the Citizens Bank of Saline were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Lockwood Funeral Home with Rev R R Fuell and Rev Frank Benish officiating Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery Mrs Curtiss died Friday morning at St Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor She had lived in Latine for 48 years and was active in civic and church affairs including the Saline library Association Washtenaw Historical Society Saline Methodist Church and the Saline Woman's Club Survivors include her husband a son Bliss Curtiss a sister Miss Josephine Decker and two grandchildren.

Death of Verne Dieterle former Salineite in Jackson
Verne Dieterle 36 a former Saline resident died Friday in Jackson where he had worked 16 years at the Kelly Hayes plant. He was born June 2 1920 and educated in Saline schools. He served two years in the Army and one year in the Marine Corps during World War II. Survived by widow Eva three daughters Rhoda Dana and Relene a step daughter Carolyn West and step son Roger West four brothers and several nieces and nephews Funeral rites were held at Cayanetan Funeral Home Jackson with Rev Charles McKinney officiating Burial in Hillere Cemetery Jackson.
