Inflation Threats to Farmers Prompt Warning on Price Controls
A postwar policy statement from the Association of Land-Grant Colleges and Universities warns that lifting price controls now could trigger inflationary harm to farmers. The report notes possible farm price declines after wartime demand wanes, risks of mortgage foreclosures, and calls for continued controls until supplies and prices stabilize including limits on land speculation.

Record of early 20th century sheep farming trends
The report notes 1929 to 1944 price levels, ewe breeding stocks down eight percent from the prior year and about two thirds of January 1, 1931 figures. Lambing conditions favored early areas though some ranges suffered. Early range feed was scarce, grass generally good in higher ranges. Weather and disease losses were modest, but predator losses were higher than usual.
