Community Society Events In Arborville Include Missionary Meeting
Arborville harssinary and Aid Society hosted a missionary meeting on September 19 with Mrs. Charles Burges substituting for Mrs. R. E Merchant. Officers were installed by Mrs. Arthur Shultz as the year opened under the theme A Highway For Our God. Annual reports were given by secretary Miss Lackey and treasurer Mrs. Leand Bower. Town Stall Club also met September 19 with cards for entertainment. pie and coffee followed. A separate celebration honored Mr. and Mrs. Robert Heineke at Town Hall with games, gifts from Mrs. Clarnce Bryant of York, and refreshments served by several hosts.

The Arborville Shiners 4-H Club held a fall reorganization on Monday at Town Hall. M Alvah Hecht of York advised project selections in dairy beef and swine. Mrs Bill Reading was elected general leader with officers to follow. Local visitors and hosts are listed. Sunday visits noted with several area residents.

Birthday party honors local families at Grand Island home
A Friday afternoon gathering at Mrs. Joe I hn home celebrated the recent birthdays of Gary Flatless Mrs. Joe Ehn and her daughter Mrs. Virgil Bayne of Grand Island. Fourteen relatives and friends attended with refreshments and gifts. Mrs. Bayne had been an overnight guest. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Neuhaus and Alan returned Sunday from a seven day Ozarks trip.
