New Product Barsprout Prevents Potato Sprouting

A new bar sprout treatment uses methyl ester of napthalene acetic acid to keep potatoes and other root crops from sprouting at room temperature. Treated potatoes stay firm and farm fresh tasting, with no harmful effects shown in five years of readings at agricultural stations.

Michigan State creates light sprayer for 2 4 D lawn use

Michigan State College designs a light weight sprayer to apply 2 4 D to lawns pastures cornfields and garden patches. The spray boom uses one eighth inch pipe and is linked to the tank by rubber hose. An automobile gasoline filter cleans particles to prevent clogging.
