Mrs Milfred Johnson Died After Lingering Illness
Gertrude Johnson 61 died Monday evening at Central City hospital after a lingering illness. Services set for Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church Polk with burial in Immanuel Cemetery. She was born April 16 1908 near Polk to Herman and Hulda Stach and lived there her whole life. She married Milfred Johnson March 4 1930 and lived on a Polk area farm before moving to Polk in 1961. Survivors include husband Milfred two sons Gordon Polk and Gwynnel Hampton six grandchildren two sisters Laura Wilshusen Crete and Frieda Waak York one brother Walter Stach St Paul Minn.
