Willanna Chapter O.ES. of Polk hosted District 11 at the Masonic Temple on Sept 29 with Genoa Fullerton Clarks Silver Creek Osceola Stromsburg York and Hampton chapters assisting. About 135 attended the evening program after a six o'clock dinner at Corner Cafe for 17 guests. Joan Steen and Richard Jones delivered talks with several Grand Officers present including Lucille Tilles Kurtz Cleland Joella Cook and Bergit T. Jones. Verlene Anderson chaired the event and a lunch was served afterward.

Swede Plain WSCS Met In Church Basements
The Swede Plain WSCS met in the church basement on October 11 with Mrs Lyle Widga leading devotions. President Mrs Lester Widga conducted the business meeting. Program leader was Mrs Curtis Flodman with the standing committee. The hymn Hark, The Voice of Jesus Calling was sung by all. The theme covered The American Indian, His Heritage, and Emerging Identity with Lord Dismiss Us as the closing hymn. An all hostess lunch followed.

Music was hosted by Mrs Al Moyer and a ladies quartet.
