Polk County Nebraska triggers public auction of lands and town lots for delinquent taxes and special assessments. The sale occurs November 3 1969 at 9 AM in the County Treasurer's Office Osceola Nebraska continuing daily until all parcels are sold.
Thirteen members and two visitors met at Mildred Norquist home for the Faithful Workers Club first meeting of the new year. Anita Norquest conducted the business and installed officers led by Mildred Norquest. Officers include Mildred Norquest president Esther Larson vice president Ella Cramer secretary Florence Hoffman treasurer. Appointive officers are Winnifred Lackey press correspondent Marie Henderson courtesy chairman Della Hoffman pianist. Secret pals were drawn and a monthly gift program voted to continue. Sharon Hudson led a musical charade program Margaret Brookevelt read a specialty and Anita Norquest received the host role.
Local families host and visit relatives and friends through the week. Wilbur and wife Whitacre attend Evanglical Free Church services in Stromsburg and are guests at the Ralph Johnson home after services. Pfc. Norman Branting departs to Fort Lewis Washington after visiting Omaha and Lincoln relatives.
After the close of the meet a delicious lunch was served by the hostess with Irene Widga assisting.
