Polk County Fair raffle and bleacher moves update

Clarks Bomb Polk Cubs 6-0 In Friday Football

The Clarks Blue Bombers defeated the Polk Cubs 6-0 with a fourth quarter 62 yard touchdown run by Greg Douglas. Alan Beck added a point after with a canceled two point attempt. The game featured a scoreless first three quarters before Clarks pulled ahead.

Obituary: Glenn Dobberstein Dies After Tractor Accident

Glenn Edward Dobberstein 26 of Polk Nebraska died October 2 at Osceola hospital from injuries after a tractor tipped and pinned him on a county road six miles north and east of Polk. He was a Polk High School graduate 1960 and a leading 4-H leader and Polk County Feeders Association president. His funeral was at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Kreft officiating.
