Arborville Town Hall Club Meeting Notes Entertainments

Arborville Town Hall Club met for regular activities with a square dancing program. The next meeting is January 17 with officer elections. December meeting is omitted. Local residents visited and hosted guests, including Earle Eaton’s birthday observance with Sgt. LaVerne Nicholson’s family in Grand Island.

Immanuel Lutheran Church Plans Thanksgiving Services

Immanuel Lutheran Church announces Thanksgiving services at 10 00 a m with Sunday School Bible Study at 10 00 a m and Divine Worship at 10 30 a m. A baby boy named Richard Lee was born November 15 at Stromsburg Hospital weighing 7 pounds 14 ounces to Mr and Mrs Harold Blase. Local residents Harold and Mildred Mundt visited with the Sagehorns and others during the weekend and family members shared meals together.

A long list of Sunday visits and gatherings links Mrs. Germeroth, Wm Saal Jr., the Brandts, Reetzs, Wilshusens, Johnsons, Baacks, and many others across Polk and neighboring towns. Social calls span Friday to Sunday with oyster suppers, dinners, and travels to York Malcolm and Yankton.

Sunday Socials and Church Plans in Grand Island Area

Mr and Mrs Oliver Johnson hosted a dinner with Dr and Mrs R L Peter son and others at Grand Island hospital. Visitors included Arthur Carlson Clarence Ericks and Henry Horstman’s brother in Giltner. Football game in Lincoln featured Richard Sealey Paul Stevens and families. Evangelical Free Church Ladies Aid plans a November 8 program at 8 pm with refreshments after the service.
