Evangelism Mission Spreads Through Hastings District Churches

Polk and Swede Plain Methodist Churches join the Methodist Mission on Evangelism held across twenty Hastings District churches this week. A Youth Rally and Mass Meeting at York Municipal Auditorium Sunday evening features Rev. Walter L. Jewett and a 120 member choir directed by Frank Taurielle.

The Polk American Legion Auxiliary Post 160 met at the Hall on Monday afternoon November 13 with Mrs. Frank Davis presiding and Mrs. Ivan Cramer as secretary. New song books were received, plans for a Christmas party were made, and local performances by a school octette and trombone quint were heard. November Pork Woman's Club meeting highlights Citizenship program

Mrs. A. Isaacson hosted the November Pork Woman's Club meeting with Mrs. G. Benson and Mrs. Albert Sundberg assisting. The program on Citizenship and Education was led by Mrs. Henry Horst man, Mrs. Oscar Sundberg, and Mrs. Arnold Newhaus. A good attendance was noted. Platte Valley Pastors Form Religious Education Committee

Eighty three Sunday School workers and pastors from Platte Valley Baptist Churches met at Polk Baptist church for a one day rally. Eleven of thirteen area churches represented. A Religious Education Committee of Platte Valley was formed to plan Sunday School clinics in March. Rev Van Lerop missionary to Africa will speak at the Baptist Church this Sunday.
