Aims of 1970 ACP Program Outlined by Nebraska ASC Leader

Gordon L. Nuernberger, chairman of the State ASC, lists ACP 1970 goals: stronger enduring conservation practices, pollution abatement measures, support for low income farmers, and community benefit projects. The federal share covers about half the cost, with Nebraska's 1970 tuna allocation at 5,008,000 dollars to be distributed across 93 counties. County ASC committees may approve cost sharing requests as funds from 1969 ACP are spent and 1970 requests begin.
