Mr and Mrs Willard Lindburg invite friends and relatives to an open house at Polk Baptist Church on Sunday November 30 1969 from two to four PM to observe their golden anniversary with no formal invitation needed.
Polk County Juniors visited Osceola courthouse for County Government Day on November twelfth. They heard talks on county government and Polk County history, toured offices, had lunch, studied school election offices, and held a mock trial. Several students were noted for military service actions.

She serves on the Long Range Planning and Indirect Service Committee which assists crippled children and adults. David Fjell of Columbus spent the weekend with his parents, Russell and Mrs. Fjell.
The American Legion Auxiliary met November 10 with President Blaine Miller presiding. Officers read minutes and correspondence as Verlene Anderson led prayers. Members Lauretta Neuhaus and Margaret Brockevelt honored servicemen’s wives and mothers with an inspiring Americanism program. Donations and volunteer efforts were noted including Gifts for Yanks and cookie/candy collections for service men’s boxes, plus reports from Junior Auxiliary Rehabilitation and Gift Shop gifts for hospitalized veterans and a December grab bag drive.
