Arborville Missionary Society Holds Thanksgiving Program

The Arborville Missionary Society met at Mrs. Robert Merchant’s home with ten members. A Thanksgiving program was led by Mrs. Ester Lackey. Mrs. John Wockner was elected to serve another year and a bazaar with supper was planned for December 10 at Town Hall. Various residents hosted and attended dinners and gatherings, and Miss Hope Eaton was elected State High School Superintendent of the Nebraska Christian Endeavor Union.

Sunday School at 10 00 am led by Harold Bedient, sermon at 11 30 am, sermonette for Ruth, birthday observance, and Thanksgiving service on Wednesday November 24 at 8 00 pm with annual Thanksgiving offering.

Thanksgiving services set at Polk and Swede Plain Churches

Thanksgiving season observances planned at Polk and Swede Plain Methodist Churches with Sunday morning worship at 10 am Polk Church School at 10:30 am and an 11 am Thanksgiving message. Swede Plain hosts Church School at 6:39 pm and leadership group at 7:30 pm with a 10 am service and 10 am message.

Evangelistic Meetings at Milford Free Church

Milford Free Church announces Bible Instruction Class at 2 p m Saturday and Sunday services including Sunday School at 10 a m Morning Worship at 11 a m and Gospel Service at 7 30 p m Rev H E Sodergren of Sioux City Iowa will speak. Evangelistic meetings begin Tuesday at 7 30 p m with Rev Wesley Gustafson returning from China as speaker continuing nightly through Sunday November 28. Local families share visits and a new baby announced

Mr and Mrs Theo Larson hosted Baptist trustees and wives for a monthly meeting. Mr and Mrs Clarence Munn of Central City welcomed an 8% pound girl, Shirley Ann, born November 14 at Memorial Hospital. Ed Coover had surgery at St Francis Hospital in Grad Island. Others hosted dinners, quilting parties, and visits in Aurora Central City and surrounding homes.
