Nebraska hunting hours and guest visit noted

Shooting hours for deer run from half an hour before sunrise to half an hour after sunset while Wilsons snipe rails and gallinules are from sunrise to sunset. Other game open from half an hour before sunrise to sunset. A time adjustment applies north south of Grand Island Nebraska. Polk High School board approves bills and adjourns

Polk County Nebraska school board meeting at Polk High School with all members present approves numerous library and supply bills. Motion to allocate funds for risers and a tuba horn for music, adjust Christmas vacation dates, and purchase six bus tires passes. Meeting adjourns with Harvey Sundberg as secretary.

Bible Sunday Observance Set for December 11

Methodist churches plan Universal Bible Sunday on December 11 with the theme Gods Word for a New Age to promote daily Bible reading from Thanksgiving Day November 24 through December 31. Thanksgiving Sunday November 20 will introduce the period and worshippers will receive daily reading guides. a special offering for the American Bible Society will be taken December 11.

Trinity LCW Meets in Church Parlor

The Trinity Lutheran Church Ladies Aid met Wednesday afternoon in the church parlors. Mrs. Florence Hoffman opened, a fellowship reception for Rev. and Mrs. Rowoldt is set for Sunday evening November 13, Connie Hoff man and Dwight Herd received a $5 gift, and program leaders were Mildred Norquest and Joyce Baack.

Ted Otte Attends FRC Annual Meeting in Omaha

Mr. Ted Otte of the Farmers Coop Grain Assn Polk attended the first annual meeting of the Farmers Regional Cooperative in Omaha on November 9. FRC formed in 1965 from the merger of Farmers Elevator Service Co Fort Dodge Iowa and Farmers Union State Exchange Omaha Nebraska with general offices in Fort Dodge Iowa.
