Psychologists Odbert and Karowski studied 148 college students and found 39 percent could “see” a color in music. Of these, 53 percent linked a color while 31 percent reported a color response. Newton linked colors to the diatonic scale from red to violet. Color organs and devices have been built to express color music correlations.
