The WMS of the Evangelical Free church met in the church parlor on October 26. Mrs. Stanford Ang and Mrs. Ed Hanson led the program while the pastor delivered the message. Pastor and Mrs. Koelling sang a duet and Mrs. Merlin Nyberg read. It was the Fall Ingathering meeting with hosts Mrs. Reuben Hanquist and Mrs. Lillie Johnson.
The 60th Christmas Seal Campaign begins November 15, 1966, with volunteers delivering letters to the post office. About 1500 Polk County families will receive 1966 Christmas Seals in yellow red and green along with an appeal letter chaired by Mrs. Lawrence Meister of the Polk County Tuberculosis Association.
Deer and turkey may be hunted from half an hour before sunrise to half an hour after sunset. Wilsons snipe rails and galbules from sunrise to sunset.
