Simple Dehydrator Demonstration for Garden Crops

A homemade dehydrator heating unit serves as a labor saver on the farm and can also function as a room heater. Drying removes moisture to prevent spoilage while preserving texture color and flavor. Improvement in shell texture of eggs can be achieved by feeding foods that supply the minerals and vitamins needed for shell production. The shell is about 90 percent calcium carbonate and shell-grit provides calcium carbonate. however without vitamin D the body may not convert enough for bone and egg shell formation.
