Hail, Fire and Moves Stir Polk News and Deaths
A Friday night electrical storm battered Polk with hail the size of baseballs and a lightning strike on Clyde Willits home caused major damage but no injuries. The Polk post office may move from the Bank of Polk building to the former Progress building in York. Numerous local moves, retirements, and obituaries follow, including deaths of Clyde H Green and Delvin J Newton, and reports of graduations, weddings, and civic events across Polk and surrounding areas.
