Butch Mills Sells Three 1928 Chevrolets

Polk area notes report Butch Mills sold three 1928 Chevrolets with other local items including birthdays for Jean and Beverly Ekdahl and community events. The Polk High School band opens the 1948 concert season on June 2 and the Pleasant Homemakers Club travels to Grand Island to see the Freedom Train.

The Polk Progress lists editor publisher Norris W Alfred and details of mailing class, post office of Polk Nebraska, and subscription and advertising rates. Polk Woman's Club Outing in York Friday

The Polk Woman's Club held its yearly event last Tuesday with a dinner and show in York. During the meeting, president Kathy Brazda installed next year’s officers Josephine Strand as President Fern Myers as Vice President Bertha Brazda as Secretary and Erma Adelson as Treasurer. The club sponsors the Salvation Army fund drive in Polk during the first two weeks in May. Erma Adelson gave Kathy Brazda a gift in appreciation of her service.
