Local church groups meet. senior play staged at City Auditorium

The Standard Bearers of the M E Church met at Dor is McCoy home with Vera Stevens and Virginia Peterson assisting hostesses Melba Carlson led the program and Mae Doremus devotional leader. W c A will meet at Mrs Theo Stevens home Tuesday afternoon. Rev Harry Landel of Chicago visited the Carlson home Monday evening. The Senior Class Play Lady Spitfire was well received at the City Auditorium Wednesday evening under Mrs Harold Nelson. Missionary Society NMFE Church met at church with Mrs E E Edwards and Roland Dahlin hosting Thursday. Dr C R Peterson was a Lincoln visitor Friday. Mr and Mrs N E McNeely inspected the new train at Grand Island Sunday. Mrs Joy Thompson and Miss Wilmetta Steele were guests at the W C Steele home. Mr and Mrs M O Cannon and son DeLoss of Portland, Oregon visiting Mrs W C Steele this week. Miss Lillie Lind of Shelby spent the weekend with her parents.
