Recreation school for Polk County leaders set in Osceola
Newton Gaines and Ralph Copenhaver will hold a two day recreation school for community leaders on May 11 and 12 at the M I Church parlors Osceola starting at 10 a m daily. Local groups including Farmers Union Locals churches Women’s Clubs and PTA are invited to send two to four leaders. The program aims to share latest ideas for games parties and community programs. Preparations are under way for a Polk Municipal Band concert next Wednesday May 13 to mark the spring parade. Polk merchants will stay open Wednesday evenings until further notice with business hours till ten. A rehearsal is set for Monday evening ahead of the concert.
