Stromsburg Opens Modern Green House in North Part
Alvin and Mildred Weatenius unveiled a new cutting edge greenhouse at their Stromsburg home after six months of construction. The facility will offer a full range of flowers and plants to the community. Nearby, University of Nebraska students Margaret Olson and June Erickson visited their families for the weekend, and Oliver Rummell returned home from Lehigh following his mother’s death, Mrs. A J Hillberg. The Stromsburg Community Club met at the Park Hotel with sixty tickets sold, dinner served by the hotel, and Enoch Ekstrand presiding as plans for summer were discussed. John E Carlson, a longtime Stromsburg barber, died in Stromsburg aged about seventy. interment was in Stromsburg Cemetery, leaving a wife and son Leo Carlson plus five brothers.

Omaha Yards Male Chorus to Present Radio Program
The South Omaha Stock Yards male chorus, 26 voices strong and drawn from the livestock industry, will air two 30 minute programs on WOW radio in May. The first from 7:30 to 8 p m on Tuesday May 5 and the second from 3 to 3 30 p m on Sunday May 24. The group won the Midwest Music Festival at Omaha last summer and organized in March 1935.
