Adelson Family Thanks Relatives For 50th Anniversary

Mr and Mrs Alex Adelson express gratitude for cards gifts and flowers from relatives neighbors and friends on their 50th wedding anniversary. Little Gwennie Lemke visited Lincoln Orthopedic hospital Friday for a congenial hip correction brace adjustment left her with a cast as doctors straighten her leg and she is expected home late this week.

Boys Town Choir to Appear in Osceola

The 50 voice Boys Town Concert Choir directed by Rev. Francis P. Schmitt will perform at Osceola city auditorium on Sunday April 24 at 8 pm. The 56 choristers have rehearsed for months and will bring a program to be announced later.

Swede Home Couple Celebrates 50th Wedding Anniversary

Sunday afternoon, March 20, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Adelson marked their 50th wedding anniversary at the Calvary Lutheran church in Swede Home. About 150 guests attended a program with scripture, songs, poems, and Swedish duet, followed by refreshments and a three tier cake. The couple, married March 21, 1899, began on a Swede Home farm and still reside there.

Salmon Travels 1300 Miles From Alaska To Siberia

A red salmon marked by the U S bureau of fisheries in Alaska waters in May traveled 1300 miles to a Siberian stream where it was caught 44 days later.
