Local Couple Injured in Hampton Car Crash
Jim Brazda Jr and his wife were injured in a one car crash two miles north of Hampton last Friday night. Their car left the road and overturned in a gully. They were taken to Aurora hospital with severe cuts and lacerations. First on the scene were Otis and Mrs Otis Williamson. LaVaughn Adelson arrived with dance bills. Mrs Brazda was unconscious and pinned under the car before extraction.

Services For Hordville Infant Die In Pedestrian Crash
Funeral services were held Tuesday at St. John s Evangelical Lutheran Church Kronberg for 19 month old Michelle White of Hordville who died after being struck by a car driven by Donald R Anderson 30 of Hordville near the Hordville school. Survivors include her parents Clair and Evelyn Hansen White a three year old brother Lawrence and her grandparents Norman White of Marquette and L B Hundrad of Randall Wash.

The 41st annual meeting of Farmers Union Co op Oil Assn Inc Polk County at Viking Center Stromsburg on March 6 heard fiscal year sales of 1 696 000 and savings of 178 000 the largest business year. Ervin Beckstrom from District 2 was elected to a five year term replacing Ray Johnson who was thanked for five years of service. State Senator Harold Stryker spoke on better communications with Robert Gingery and Bill Terpstra from Farmland Industries in attendance. Door prizes and lunch were provided by the association with cigars and candy from Stromsburg Bank.
