Polk Village Board Approves Ordinance No 169 and Bills
The Polk Nebraska village board met May 3 at the Polk Hotel with four trustees present. They approved last meeting minutes and treasurer and light and water reports, authorized the village marshal to arrest violators, passed Ordinance No 169 the annual appropriation bill, and ordered its printing in the Polk Progress. Bills presented include Citizens State Bank tax, State Tax Commission, M & S Transfer, Darwin Neuhaus, and Thoraco Industrial.

The Faithful Workers Club met at Polk Park on May 28 for the year’s last session with thirteen members and several children present. Ella Cramer led the program and secret pals were revealed. An all host lunch was served.

Mrs. Estella Wilkins and Mrs. Beulah Gustafson of Hastings attended the Polk alumni banquet on May 29 and returned May 30.
