Dr Raymond Peterson to open dental parlors later this week. Dr Peterson is a graduate of Nebraska Dental College and is well known locally. Miss Edith Anderson returns for the summer after teaching at Crete. Miss Lillie Brauer and her father go to York for appendicitis surgery. Polk boys Arrive in New York with 89th Division. Polk population 530. 176 school children. A baby boy born to Mr and Mrs C L Anderson. Emmitt Alton arrives with wife and baby after discharge. Shannon Shafer elected president of Community Club and names paving committee. People attend band concert from York Osceola Stromsburg Hardville Bradshaw Clarks. Strand Lumber Co building new sheds.
