Alma couple wed in Trinity Lutheran ceremony

Miss Vera Lovercamp and LeMoyne Waak married at Trinity Lutheran Church Alma Nebraska in a sunset ceremony. Rev Theo Wieting officiated with family and friends from Alma Osmond Hordville North Platte York Schuyler Minnesota and Missouri in attendance. A reception followed at the bride's home with a three tier cake and a miniature bride and groom topper. Both newlyweds teach at Immanuel Lutheran School Osmond Nebraska.

Johnsons Chevrolet beat the Knotholers 13 to 4 as Shorty Hahn allowed three hits and Beryl Willits led a 12 hit attack. It marked their fifth straight win in the early softball crown chase.

Ed Johnson 67 of Hordville Dies After Long Illness

Ed Johnson of Hordville died after a long illness at Central City Hospital. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Brauer Funeral Home and 2 p.m. at Hordville Baptist Church. Burial followed in Hordville Baptist Cemetery. Survived by his wife and three daughters.

Willits Family Reunion Held in Buckley Park

The 3rd annual Willits reunion drew about 100 attendees at Buckley Park Stromsburg on Sunday. Out of town guests included Mr and Mrs Kenneth Willits from Western and Mrs Harriet Johnson of Loup City. Mrs Ella Shenk joined a Sunday supper at the Mervin Shenk home.

Stromberg Family Holds 20th Annual Reunion

The Stromberg annual picnic was held Sunday June 17 for the 20th year at Buckley Park in Stromsburg. Attendees included Mr and Mrs Robert Oliver of Omaha and many Stromberg relatives from Polk Clarks Osceola and Lincoln. A picnic dinner and supper were served. The next reunion will be the 8rd Sunday of June next year.
