Rev C W Long led Sunday School and Bible Study at 10:00 with Divine Worship at 10:30 AM. Mr and Mrs Ray Werner and Mr and Mrs Reuben Anderson enjoyed a weekend fishing trip at Lexington, returning Sunday morning.

Friday and Sunday evenings see numerous visits and gatherings in Hampton and nearby towns. Elmer Wilshusen and family hosted guests for a birthday at their home while many relatives from York Crete and Serena joined in celebrations and church events. Gilbert Glad earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University with his family attending the ceremony and a post graduation picnic.
Ida Bernatia Bjorkman born December 22 1877 in New York died June 1 1953 at age 75 years five months eight days after a cerebral hemorrhage at home. She lived in Hordville and Polk and married Lars Gustaf Westland in 1925. Survived by one sister and numerous relatives. she was a practical nurse and active Evangelical Free Church member. Services held June 4 at Polk church with Mamne Church Cemetery interment and pallbearers nephews Harold, Vancil, Kenneth, Miley Bjorkman, Orville Bjorkman, Harlan Peterson.
Mr and Mrs Dean Ostberg and Mr and Mrs Harry Anderson visited Sunday in the Ostberg home at Wood River. Rev Edick Anderson supplied the pulpit at First Baptist Church Council Bluffs and was entertained in the H J Christensen home.

Mr and Mrs Lloyd Widga took their son Verland to Lincoln Sunday where he attends Boy State at the Agricultural College Campus. Mr and Mrs Robert Willits were business visitors in Omaha Monday.
