Polk Village approves 1948 cash bills and raises salaries

Polk Nebraska village board met June 1 1948 with all members present. They approved bills and warrants, adopted Ordinance No 120 setting salaries for village officers and employees, and authorized a 1948 estimated expense budget for general, street lighting, library, fire protection, park, auditorium, and other purposes.

Polk County seeks tax lien foreclosure on Polk real estate

On May 12, 1948, Polk County filed a petition in the District Court of Polk County Nebraska to foreclose the tax liens on Lots 6 7 and 8 Block 8 Original Village of Polk and to quiet title. Defendants named include Carl L Nierman Flora Wierman Marie A Mueller Henry C Mueller Henry L Stunkel Mary Stunkel Irma A Duensing Fred H Duensing Carl Gilbert Margaret Gilbert Hulda A Natter Lou J Natter Arno W E Stunkel Elouise Stunkel Freda H Ranum Bertram Ranum Dolores R Pointer and Keith C Pointer Roscoes R Kroger Gwendolyn Kroger Orville C Kroger Doris Ann Kroger and all other persons with interest.
