Nebraska Faces Nitrate Groundwater Pollution From Agriculture
Nebraska struggles with nitrate contamination in groundwater from farm chemicals and fertilizers. State agencies plan a 208 plan by 1978 to set minimum standards while enforcement appears weak and costs limit corrective actions for smaller towns and farms. Experts warn recovery could take 10 to 40 years once pollution ceases.

Have You Noticed Continued From Page 1
A reflective passage recalls a child’s babyhood through a chair marks and a photo album lock of hair. The narrator resists selling keepsakes and considers whimsically framing or preserving items as a “baby’s breath” memento.
