Mrs Clarence Rahrs returned home from Central City hospital Thursday. Mrs Wilfred Stephens also returned home Sunday from Bryan Memorial Hospital where heart surgery occurred last Tuesday.

Mr and Mrs Darrel Shostrom and Raymond left Thursday for their home at LaSalle Co after spending a week here with his parents Mr and Mrs Robert Shostrom and other relatives.

Polk High Alumni Banquet Draws 250

The 73rd annual Polk High Alumni Banquet on May 28, 1977, in the elementary school auditorium welcomed 250 attendees. Kevin Graves served as Master of Ceremonies as classes from 1927 to 1977 were honored and long-time attendees Lloyd Widge and Mrs Grayce Burney were recognized. The event noted fundraising needs, raised 153.10 from a hat, and named officers for 1978 led by President Dick Mundt.

Cub Scouts Award Badges At May Pack Meeting

The Cub Scouts held a Pack meeting at the ball park on Tuesday evening May 31 1977 with parents.
