Bell Spars Hawks In Proving Ground Spike Incident
In a Hawks intra squad game Bell roped a first pitch to right and collided with Pat O Toole after a fumbled throw. O Toole suffered a concussion and leg injury with teammates accusing Bell of deliberate spiking. Bell later drew a walk driving in Weston for a tieing run as O Toole credited a blood transfusion to save his life.
