Nebraska game officials report 6184 big-game permits issued so far this season, including 4815 firearm deer 805 antelope and 500 wild turkey, which is sold out. Regy Green Named to Shrine Bowl Football Squad
Polk High senior Regy Green will start at left tackle for the South Shrine Bowl team in Memorial Stadium Lincoln on August 18. The South squad, coached by Cliff Dale, will practice at Doane College Crete beginning August 6, with a joint trip to Shriner Hospital in Minneapolis on August 11. Green, a standout athlete who moved to Lincoln after graduation, was Polk High’s 1962 salutatorian from the class of 1962. Proceeds from the game support Shriner Hospitals for Crippled Children.
