Birthday gathering at Robert Willits home hosts guests

Sunday afternoon guests in the Robert Willits home helped De lores and Pam celebrate their birthdays. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Grant Willits, Mrs. Lena Johnson and Bob, Mabel Olson, Edna Lundgren and Bob Rahrs. Evening visitors included Mr. and Mrs. Francis Johnson and family of Central City.

Mr and Mrs Reuben Hanquist and grandsons Jimmy and Jerry Gleim attended an ice cream social at the Swede Home church on Friday evening. Dr Myron Johnson and Stephanie of San Diego arrived to visit his mother Mrs Emma Johnson. Various neighbors, including Mrs N E McNaught and Mrs Len nis Lind, plus Will Steel and family, visited Mrs Will Steel at Osceola hospital. Anne Willoughby visited Leilani Stohl on Tuesday and stayed Thursday night.

Huntington High 1966 Valedictorian Silent Honors

Miss Suzanne Dryden, daughter of Huntington residents, graduated top of Huntington High School 1966 class of 524 with honors. She earned the Emma Downs Carter Prize, Copplin-Dahlman French Award, Phi Beta Kappa Award, National Merit Letter of Commendation, and New York Regents Scholarship and will study foreign languages at New York University this fall. She is active in the school honor society all four years.

A family dinner was held at Reuben Hanquist's home Sunday with Arlyn Hanquist and family from Hugoton Kansas Miland Hanquist and children from Lincoln Roger Hanquist and boys Dorothy Gleim and sons also present Mrs Gleim joined Miland Hanquist and children for a visit in Lincoln Gilbert Lampshire Marvin McKenzie and families from Kansas City Missouri spent Tuesday in Lincoln visiting friends and relatives.
