Myers Celebrate 25th Wedding Anniversary At Riverside

Mr and Mrs John Myers marked their twenty fifth anniversary with a Sunday celebration. The Crew Carl Felton Carter Felton and families enjoyed a Riverside picnic supper Friday evening. Occurring events include births and visits, with Naomi Alfred playing organ, and Karl Detloff hospitalized Saturday for medical care. Local manager Charles Crew attended a Lincoln Teleph ine and Telegraph conference in York last week.

Fifteen Years Ago July 19 1923 Local Notes

Druggist Crow and family planned to move into a home purchased in southeast Polk around August first. Walter Rystrom harvested 28 acres of wheat near Stromsburg at 20 bushels per acre, testing 58 pounds. The Mothers Club hosted Mrs. Nettie Bauder prior to her move to Harlan Iowa. Mrs Charlee Graves and daughters to move into Grandma Lindburg home in west Polk. Sheriff Van Hooosen attended county business in town. Wm Norton left for Wisconsin to join Toledo Acme Chautauqua Company as platform manager and may appear in fins. About 40 relatives celebrated Mrs Hill’s 37th birthday. A baby boy arrived at the Oscar Gustafson home July 7. Board of education elected Oscar Strand president Dr Leibee director and J L Stouffer treasurer. Arvid Magnuson moved to Columbus with family.

The Federal Land Bank of Omaha files a mortgage foreclosure suit against Tom Ruby V Krader et al in Polk County Nebraska seeking $9,929.23 plus 8 percent interest from June 7 1938 and costs. The Southeast Quarter of Section 17 Township 13 North Range 4 West is mortgaged and will be sold to satisfy the decree with first lien rights.

Family thanks friends for support after husband’s death
