On July 10 Rev J M Bay marked his 84th birthday with a flower basket and cake from Baptist Church members. Nearby real estate changed hands for 8000 at public sale while residents arrival visits and travel to and from Lincoln Omaha Denver and Marysville filled community notes.
Local items note Virgil Eisler and Gust Dobberstein families visiting in Ord Nebraska with Willard Conners family. Ladies Aid met at M E Church parlor for pot luck. Mrs Howard Herbes led program. Donald Riley visiting Nelson King home. Ed Madison family visited Central City. Golden Gate Band led by Clarence Craven to play at Riverside Park Friday. Edith Glad and Ruth Bodine returned to work and vacation respectively. Rev Bailey and family with Henry Sandell and Genevieve Soderfen were guests at Elmer Hanquist home Sunday night.

Mrs Don Johnson and DeMaris Misses Arvilla Reeb Leila Reeb and Marjorie Kohtz were York Visitors Wednesday. Mrs Arnold Isaacson Mrs L L Zierott and Mrs C R Peterson were Lincoln visitors Tuesday. Elmer Peterson and family of Grand Island were visiting relatives at Polk Tuesday. They recently returned from a trip to Estes Park. Eddie Larson Don Wright Arthur Newton and Charles Peterson were Osceola visitors Sunday. Mrs Selma Benson and Mr and Mrs Virgil Peer of Hordville spent Sunday evening at the Geo Larson home. Miss Elaine Wilcox entertained a group of girls at a slumber party at the Mission Camp grounds on Monday evening.
