A. K. Crow had appendicitis surgery at Lutheran hospital in York on Friday. R. J. Allison and Dr. C. R. Peterson attended band rehearsal. Rolland Dahlin, in Hastings lumber yard, is on a 15 day vacation. Mr and Mrs Leonard Strasburg welcomed a baby girl Saturday. Director R. L. Peterson treated his 26 member band to ice cream and cake after rehearsal. Mr Peterson is proud of his band.

The couple, Polk High and University of Nebraska graduates, will return to Polk soon. Ansel Bodine suffered appendicitis Friday and was taken to Grand Island for treatment.
